Bio
Filippos Raskovic is a composer, pianist and improviser from Athens, Greece.
He completed his studies in composition at the Royal Academy of Music, London and in CSMA, Zaragoza with Rubens Ascenar and José M. Sánchez-Verdú.His work creates a sonic world; accidental and composed, recognisable and unexpected all at the same time.
As a composer, he often creates interdisciplinary work with visual artists. In 2021 he completed the performative installation; Echo Chambers in close collaboration with the sculptor D.Tampakis which was developed during his FUGA residency in Spain.
He also collaborated with UN P R 18T(Unprocessed Realities) for the sculptural and sound installation Post European Rageroom ™ which was developed and presented at the gallery Centrum Berlin.
Filippos is currently working on the piece to merely reflect the double bass and sub great bass recorder. The piece has been commissioned by gLOWs duo(Sylvia Hinz, George Kokkinaris) and will be premiered at Onassis Stegi, Athens.
As an improviser he has self released his first album gentle presence in 2020 and has performed at MONOPIANO Festival at Fylkingen, Stockholm.
In 2019 he founded the KRAMA music festival, which aims to present a new outlook within the Greek independent music scene, bringing together free improvisation with contemporary classical and experimental electronic music.
