Erik Rademakers (1989) is a bass player based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. At the age of 9 Erik picked up the bass and basically never put it back down. Hi there, my name is André and I'm a professional bass player. For me having fun while learning is the most import thing! That's why my lessons are hands-on and catered towards what you want to learn.
This could mean figuring out how to play a certain song, working on a specific technique or creating your own bass lines. My role as a teacher is to motivate and stimulate you to make the most out of your bass playing.
I teach bass guitar, ranging from four to six string bass, fretted and fretless. I also teach double bass, mostly in context of pop music and bass players who want to play double bass next to bass guitar. So, if you're a die-hard jazzer (props to you!) I might not be the teacher on double bass for you.
Hope to see you soon on Tunezin!

Hello! My name is Julia and I'm a bassplayer from the Netherlands. I started playing instruments when I was 6 years old (piano for 2 years and fiddle for 9 years). Didn't take long to discover the bass is my instrument! I started with a mini electric bass (yes I'm short ;-) and 2 years later I started playing the double bass. I graduated at conservatory and I have a lot of experience in playing and teaching. Whatever style, technic, theory you want to learn: just ask me. No student has the same 'learning path'. Everyone has a 'custom made' way of learning the bass and everything that comes with it! Currently I have my own band (manager and bass player), do a lot of understudies in bands and projects, play in theatre projects, do a lot of studio work, teach on Artez (conservatory) and at home and help artists with their administration and tax return. So, full into the artist business!

Hey everyone!I started officially teaching in 2020, before that I worked in audio post-production and compositions for video games (for Ubisoft, Epic Games, and a number of smaller developers). I have played over 400 gigs onstage as a bassist with over 80 bands until 2017; mainly rock/Metal oriented acts, but sometimes jazz, blues-rock, so mostly heavy stuff.During my conservatory years in Budapest where I was born, I worked hard to get my sound engineering diploma as well in London, which allowed me to later help build recording studios, and get into music- and audio production. Currently I have my own small-time production studio in Strasbourg (France), where I last worked on SFX design for Unreal Engine 5, but you can find my name beside projects like Assassin's Creed: Black Flag, The Crew, Watchdogs, a bit beside Fortnite too.Currently I'm producing albums of nearby bands, mainly Metal oriented ones, and I also work for the biggest amusement park in Europe composing music.I'm here to offer knowledge about recording, music and audio production (mixing and mastering as well), playing bass in studio or onstage, finding your tone as a musician, music theory, composition and arrangement in various styles, basic understanding of acoustics etc, the list is long.Beyond my wildest expectations (I never really aimed at teaching), this year I found myself enjoying passing the torch on many of the things I do fairly well, so I thought I'd give this site a shot.

I consider myself a musician that primarily tries to facilitate the artist/act in the best way possible. Meaning I find it a lot more important to know what a song needs than to be able to play the fastest slap solo in the world. Of course you need to have a flawless technique and some chops but in my lessons a lot of focus is also on: 'what is going on around me?', 'what is the singer doing?', 'what are other instruments playing and how can I anticipate on that?'
I strongly belief that these considerations are what makes the difference between a desirable player (someone that other people want to play with) and someone that knows a few tricks but never leaves his bedroom.
If this resonates with you, see you in class :)
